Professionally Restored Antique Lowboy Flat Top Trunk

  

For sale today is a professionally restored antique flat top low boy trunk. Based on 50 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk from 1890's to 1920's. The metal bottom is good and has been painted.

There are 3 original slats on the bottom. The 3 hinges are original, have been polished, cleared, are HD, fancy, tight, work well and the lid closes well. The 37 pieces of polished hardware are original. The Excelsior center lock has been polished, cleared and there is no key.

The mechanical latches are HD, fancy, tight and work well. The tray is long gone and the interior has been removed. The meta//tin for a 100 plus year old trunk is very good condition.

There are 5 original oak slats on the trunk. The lid stay is the original one. The lid lifters are built into the mechanical latches. There were two new leather handles and 4 new end caps installed on the trunk. The lid lifters are original.

All items are for sale locally. The trunk is 36 3/4 wide, 21 3/4 deep, 12 3/4 high and weighs 30 lbs unpacked.
